Dax Shepard (Parenthood) plays Mike, who is determined to make the farm work after he got laid off from his old job as a music journalist. His insecurity often sees him bite off more than he can chew, but his heart is always in the right place.

Pam Grier - Constance Terry

The iconic Pam Grier (Jackie Brown) plays Constance on Bless This Mess, who is both the town Sheriff and owner of the local convenience store. Constance is often a dispenser of sage advice to the show's other characters, with the romance between her and Rudy also playing a big role; her son Brandon (Langston Kerman) later joined during season 2.

Ed Begley Jr. - Rudy Longfellow

He plays Beau Bowman on Bless This Mess, a neighboring farmer to Rio and Mike, though there's initial tension between them when the Bowman's offer to buy the land is rejected. Beau and his wife Kay's marriage goes through some rough patches during season 2, leading to Rio acting as their therapist.

Lennon Parham - Kay Bowman

Kay (Lennon Parham) is the matriarch of the Bowman clan on Bless This Mess , with JT Neal playing their son Jacob. Despite getting off to a bad start with Rio and Mike a friendship slowly emerges between them, while season 2 gives a lot of focus to Kay and Beau's dysfunctional marriage.
